Privacy & Data Processing Policy
Effective Date: May 7, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
This Comprehensive Privacy Policy describes how The Imagine Universe LLC and its affiliated companies, subsidiaries, and joint ventures (collectively referred to as "we", "us", or "our") collect, use, process, share, and protect your personal information. This policy applies to all users of the Independent Live League platform, our mobile applications, festival ticketing portals, on-site Wi-Fi networks at our events, interactive stage features, and all associated digital services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or utilizing our Services, you acknowledge and agree to the data practices described in this document.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information through three primary avenues: information you directly provide, information we collect automatically through your use of the Services, and information obtained from third-party partners.
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Identifiers and Contact Information: Your legal name, aliases or leaderboard display names, email addresses, verified telephone numbers, physical billing or shipping addresses, and unique account identifiers.
- Commercial and Transactional Data: Purchase history, ticketing details, event attendance records, patron contributions, and limited payment metadata. We utilize secure third-party payment gateways (including Stripe) and do not directly capture or store full credit card numbers or raw bank credentials on our servers.
- Media, Submissions, and User Content: Highlight video URLs, biographical metadata, artist profile submissions, custom track names, customer service inquiries, and any text, audio, or visual content you upload or submit through our promotional forms.
- Demographic Information: Age, date of birth, gender identity, and localized geographic preferences when voluntarily provided during registration, artist vetting, or fan waitlist sign-ups.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Device and Network Data: Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, Media Access Control (MAC) addresses, browser type and version, operating system details, device identifiers (such as IDFA or AAID), and mobile network information.
- Usage and Interaction Telemetry: Clickstreams, navigation paths, dwell times on specific pages, interaction with interactive modules (like Hype point distributions), referral URLs, and time-stamped access logs.
- Spatial, Sensor, and Camera Access Data: To operate our on-site Augmented Reality (AR) features (such as the AR Race Overlay at our high-speed stunt track), our mobile activations may request explicit device-level permission to access your device’s camera and real-time sensors. This visual and spatial processing is handled locally on your device in real-time. The visual camera feeds are not permanently stored, recorded, or transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly trigger a media recording and choose to save or publish it.
- Geolocation Data: General location inferred from IP addresses to tailor local tour date announcements, as well as precise GPS location data (only when explicit device-level permission is granted for on-site festival navigation or proximity-based features).
C. Information from Third Parties & Physical Events
- Ticketing and Venue Partners: Data shared by authorized primary ticketing agencies or local venues regarding your event attendance and entry scans.
- Social Media Platforms: Public profile information, friend lists, and engagement metrics if you choose to authenticate your account via third-party social networks or interact with our official brand accounts.
- On-Site Multimedia Capture: By attending any physical Independent Live League event (such as ILL.SUMMIT 2027), you acknowledge that your face, voice, and likeness may be captured by official event photographers, venue closed-circuit security cameras, and live video broadcast or recording teams, which are processed for safety, security, and global promotional purposes under Section 5 of our Terms of Service.
3. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is strictly utilized to operate our business functions, deliver premium entertainment experiences, and satisfy our legal obligations. Our specific processing purposes include:
- Fulfillment of Services: Processing ticket orders, managing Stripe transactions, verifying premium digital access tiers, distributing patron benefits, shipping physical merchandise, and granting access to exclusive digital content.
- Event Production and Talent Scouting: Reviewing submitted artist media, verifying composition and master ownership, organizing regional qualifier logistics, and maintaining platform leaderboards.
- Gamified Leaderboard & Voting Integrity: Displaying chosen display names and points on our Superfan Leaderboard, monitoring votes and Hype point allocations to audit against botting, scripting, and fraud, and selecting regional tour openers based on verified fan feedback.
- Marketing and Promotions: Delivering targeted advertisements, upcoming tour announcements, exclusive sponsor offers, and personalized content recommendations based on your preferences and previous engagement.
- Analytics and Platform Optimization: Conducting internal research, tracking user behavior to troubleshoot technical issues, and improving the overall interface of our websites, AR overlays, and mobile applications.
- Security, Integrity, and Fraud Prevention: Authenticating users, monitoring network traffic to identify malicious activities, enforcing our Terms of Service, and protecting the safety of our staff, artists, and attendees.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data in the traditional sense. However, to operate a global tour, we must share specific information with trusted entities under strict contractual obligations:
- Service Providers and Processors: We share data with vendors who perform specialized services on our behalf. This includes payment processing gateways (including Stripe), cloud storage providers (such as Amazon Web Services), email delivery platforms, and customer support management systems.
- Affiliates and Co-Promoters: Information may be shared within The Imagine Universe LLC corporate family or with official tour co-promoters to facilitate event execution.
- Sponsors and Brand Partners: With your explicit consent, we may share limited contact information with official tour sponsors, such as our primary partner Plushie Pop, for their own direct marketing purposes. Aggregate, anonymized data is frequently shared to demonstrate audience demographics.
- Legal and Regulatory Authorities: We will disclose information if required to do so by law, such as complying with subpoenas, court orders, or requests from law enforcement agencies. We also reserve the right to disclose data to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of substantial assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity as part of the transaction.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our platforms deploy cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and similar automated technologies (such as the TikTok Pixel and Meta Pixel) to collect device and usage data. These tools are essential for maintaining user sessions, remembering your preferences, tracking ad conversions, and measuring the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. You may manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or via our dedicated Cookie Consent Manager located in the website footer. Please note that disabling essential cookies may severely impact the functionality of our ticketing and user profile systems.
6. Data Security and Retention
We have implemented robust administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. This includes TLS encryption for data in transit and secured database architecture for data at rest. However, no data transmission over the public internet can be guaranteed as completely secure. We retain your personal data only for the period necessary to fulfill the operational purposes outlined in this policy, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our binding agreements.
7. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you possess specific legal rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, request the deletion of your data, or restrict specific types of processing. - Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of personal information collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions (such as maintaining active ticket orders, resolving platform integrity issues, or satisfying legal retention audits).
- Right to Opt-Out of Selling or Sharing: We do not sell your personal data for monetary compensation. However, we may share information with third-party advertising cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the explicit right to opt-out of this sharing. We provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism in our footer and settings menus to facilitate this choice.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you (such as charging different prices or denying services) for exercising any of your consumer privacy rights.
9. Children's Privacy
Our platform enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding minors. The Services are not directed at, nor do we knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13. Users must be a minimum of 18 years of age to submit artist data, purchase festival tickets, or register for the fan waitlist. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information without consent, they should contact us immediately so we can purge the data from our infrastructure.
